We are pleased to have as wine sommeliers Richard Henry and Nicolas Malboeuf. Richard is the executive sommelier and Nicolas teaches our wine tasting classes.
Born in Embrun, Nicolas obtained his certificate in wine sommelier from Algonquin College in 2002. He also completed the WSET Advanced course from L'École de Vendages in April 2007. Nicolas teaches wine tasting classes at Algonquin College and since September 2006, he is the restaurant manager of the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata. In order to quench his thirst for his wine passion, Nicolas has travelled many wine regions including Europe, Western Canada and the Niagara region.
Richard Henry is our executive wine sommelier. In 1989, he studied at Algonquin College in the sommelier program. Richard is the manager of the Academy's bistro and his choice of wines will surely delight you. He is also happy to choose for you the perfect wine to match your meal when you attend a cooking class at the Academy.
